The Bachelor of Science degree programs in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering at the Colorado Springs campus are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.

Health Science Accreditation

The Colorado Technical University Surgical Technology Program in Kansas City, Missouri, is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon recommendation of the Accreditation Review Council on Education in Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.

The Colorado Technical University Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology Program in Kansas City, Missouri, is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). JRCERT is the only agency recognized by the United States Department of Education for the accreditation of traditional and distance delivery educational programs in radiography, radiation therapy, magnetic resonance, and medical dosimetry.

The Colorado Technical University Diploma and Associate of Applied Science in Medical Assisting Programs in Kansas City, Missouri, are accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). ABHES is recognized by the United States Secretary of Education for the programmatic accreditation of medical assistant, medical laboratory technician and surgical technology programs leading to a certificate, diploma, Associate of Applied Science, Associate of Occupational Science, or academic associate degrees and programs offered by distance delivery.

The Colorado Technical University Diploma in Practical Nursing Program in Kansas City, Missouri, has full approval from the Missouri Board of Nursing (MOBoN). The mission of MOBoN is to protect the public by development and enforcement of state laws governing the safe practice of nursing. The first Board of Nurse Examiners was appointed in 1909, with the Nurse Practice Act becoming effective in March 1909. The Nurse Practice Act (NPA) is the accumulation of statutes, Chapter 335.011 to 335.257 (http://www.moga.mo.gov/statutes/C335.HTM) published in the Revised Statutes of Missouri (1994). The NPA exists to govern and regulate the profession of licensed nurses, set standards for the approval of nursing schools in Missouri, determine the scope of practice of licensed nurses, and define who may use the title of registered nurse (R.N.) and licensed practical nurse (L.P.N.) within the State of Missouri.

The Colorado Technical University Surgical Technology Program in Pueblo, Colorado, is accredited by CAAHEP upon recommendation of the Accreditation Review Council on Education in Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.

The Associate of Science in Medical Assisting at the Sioux Falls campus is accredited by CAAHEP upon recommendation of the Medical Assisting Education Review Board.

CAAHEP is the largest programmatic accreditor in the health sciences field. In collaboration with its Committees on Accreditation, CAAHEP reviews and accredits over 2000 educational programs in twenty (20) health science occupations.

Colorado Technical University's authorization to award degrees has been granted by the State of Colorado, Department of Higher Education, Colorado Commission on Higher Education.
